it annoys me that there was mention of the Curious George dolls having high lead levels when tested by a consumer group 1 or 2 months ago. It took this long for anyone to issue an official recall....grrrr. http://www.reuters.com/article/consumerproducts-SP/idUSN1026932320071011

Yup -- I stashed the doll away when you first brought the lead tests to our attention. Never mind that DH had been playing with it for at least a year. :(

We have a Tumbeling George. I don't see how it could have any lead but I just wanted to make sure I'm not letting the kids play with a possibly lead tainted monkey!

The ones currently affected by the recall are plush, and have plastic faces, except for one of the models, which has a cloth face. They were made by Marvel.
