I have already crossed-off two things from her Birthday/Christmas
list.

The AquaDots were recalled.
The Moon Sand (according to BBB Moms) is very messy.

Here is the rest of Carson's list. She looked through the
Target and Toys R Us catalogs and she wrote this stuff down.

Sweet Secrets (no clue what this is!)
Purse Pals (no clue what this is!)
Barbie Island Princess doll
Pixel Chix
Pet Shop Diary
Fisher Price Digital Art Studio
webkinz

I found this in Cookie magazine and I think she would love it.
Magnetic Play Theater

My Costco now carries a Pixel Chix set in their Christmas toys section. I want to say they were around $30 but I'm not sure. It had the upstairs/downstairs handheld and also the car.

I also saw both of these sold separately in the clearance section @ WalMart.

You can also find some Barbie Island Princess stuff @ Ross & Big Lots - I saw them there earlier this week.

Thanks for the info!

I actually got the Barbie Island Princess Barbie Doll and DVD
when it first came out. Another BBB Mom, Colleen (colleenfs)
told me about a great deal at Toys R Us and I jumped on it. :)

I think it's the upstairs/downstairs Pixel Chix that my daughter
wants. Obviously I need to go to Costco. Thanks!

I think I'm going to get her a Spirograph. I loved mine when I was a kid, so I'm hoping she'll like it. I was also thinking of a Lite Brite, but maybe she's too old?

She's still way into dress up and I got a great deal on a Gymbo princess costume last week, so she'll get that. Other than that, I have no idea. I thought about splurging and doing the design-your-own tutu online at fao.com, but that's pretty extravagant, so I may not do that.

She would love another Webkinz.

I've been buying stuff throughout the year when I see it on sale and I quickly hide it in a big box in the garage, so I really need to do an inventory! Things I can remember

2 sets of wedgits
weather fairy books
art/craft stuff
little broom
Robert Sabuda Dinosaur book
Alice and Greta book
loop the loop car thing
plasticine kit
giant bubble stick
planets craft
Ariel toy

There is more that I can't remember so I'll post more when I check whats in there. It's good to buy it throughout the year but means I end up going overboard!

She has a birthday next week and wants a Littlest Pet Shop thing thats $40, which I'm sure she won't play with but she desperately wants it. I also want to get her a webkinz, just been reading about them after seeing people on here talk about them, she loves the computer so would love that.

Paula,

My sister got her 2 Webkinz for her birthday this year.
She got them a few weeks ago when my sister came to visit
us. I let her open the gift early. :)

And, I know that my brother & his wife got her one too.

Plus, my aunt got her two and the Webkinz purse.

She is going to freak out!

Oh, I also wanted to ask you about the Spirograph. I think
my daughter would love that! She is very artistic and creative.
Where are you getting it?

Thanks!

Hi, Corie! I was going to look at Toys R Us and Target. I don't think the independent toy store near me has the Spirograph. It's currently out of stock on the hasbro website, but if they get more in and I can't find it, I'll just order it directly from hasbro.

I just got the Hasbro Spirograph at Target yesterday.
It was only $7.27 which is cheaper than the Hasbro website.

Thanks so much for the great suggestion!! :)

I have been trying to come up with something for 6 year old i need to buy for and recently saw this post on the Solulemama blog...

http://soulemama.typepad.com/soulemama/2007/11/making-books.html

So I got a basket and have put together some blank books(it was very easy). I am going to couple it with some new crayons, a fancy pen and little letter explaining what to do...it might be an idea for you too...

I am going to buy her Nintendogs (Labrador), Animal Genius and Barbie 12 Dancing Princess. I am putting on her Amazon wish list I Spy Funhouse, Animal Crossing, Hamsterz and Cooking Mama. I think the ILs will get her a couple of those.
