How is the risk any different for this unit than all the other variations out there from PBK, Target, Michael's etc... They can all tip if not wall mounted.

That's a good question. The recall notice doesn't go into details of why this product was recalled and others were not.

Perhaps the design of the canvas bins makes a difference? Most of the bin racks I've seen have plastic bins.

I think any furniture item *can* tip, the difference is that these did and caused a death. They probably aren't any more poorly designed than most toy storage units out there.

We mount ALL items that may tip to the wall with straps or L brackets.
