Calico critters anyone?

How is the quality of these, and how do they hold up? Dana has her eye on the bunny family :) Are there alternatives like them?

They are cute but really tiny. DD find the clothes very frustrating, but she's the kind of kid who likes to take the clothes off and on a lot. Also, one of the outfits did not hold up so well and is fraying.
