toys from the 70s

Have you seen the retro toys being sold? There was an endcap full of them at Target. I saw a clock that played with soooo much when I was young. It's wooden with a handle on the top. When you turn the knob in the middle of the face the hands move and plays music.

They sure are marketing to me!! Anyone else buying nostalgic gifts?

We already bought ds the fisher price learning clock and both dc share a vintage fp lp barn and a big pull up box full of vintage little people pieces. I found a slinky dog at the second hand store because someone had brought in their toy story item so we got buzz and woody too.
I would love to find some vintage lincoln logs for dd,remember how you could get a big bucket of them to make anything you wanted with instead of the sets today that only make specific buildings. I also want to get her the vintage my little pony stable. I find so much that I want to buy when I go on ebay. Just go to toys and type vintage fisher price into the search engine.

i am so with you on the retro toys. i hit a vintage little people jackpot in a junk store last week and i am still hyper about it. my kids seem to really like the old stuff as well. i will definatly be looking for the clock at target. if you really want a walk down memory lane go to thisoldtoy.com

What I would LOVE is an old Fisher Price Garage. I used to love playing with it! I even used it as a stool. I used to put the cars on the spinney thing on top and spin it around. Yes, nostalgic!

My MIL saved most of DH's childhood toys, including the FP Garage. My DS LOVES playing with it. He really likes the bell that dings when you crank the elevator up. She also has a zoo train and an airport.

I wish mine did... I would really love one. I am going to end up with the plan toys garage, but the one I really want is the FP vintage one! Did you see I used I not they? Haha!

LOVING THEM! I bought the clock and an old style cash register (although the cash register is plastic). My Great Grandparents used to have the cash register (wooden) and my sister and I LOVED it! The new one is the same style except it is plastic not wood. When I saw them I had to buy them!

I would love to find some vintage FP sets. We had school, house and garage. I would LOVE to get the school for my kids! I went out and bought a bunch of Learning Curve Play Town toys for the kids this weekend because they are similar to the Vintage FP Little People.

The new stuff just isn't the same. I hate every thing about the new Little People sets!
