Which Advent Calendar?

I was all set to order this one:

Best I can find is $39.99 + $8.95 S&H = $48.94 at Constructive Playthings

Then I saw this one:

Which I can get for $52.95 w/FS at Blountys.com. Not sure if that is the absolute best deal, but the best from a retailer I had heard of when I searched on google.

So, which would you get?

I prefer the second one.

I love the brighter colors much better! And I how it looks
like a roof on top and I like all the little boxes at the
bottom together.

I was all set to say the second one, for the reasons listed by the PP, but then I noticed that some of the figures (that aren't angels!) are floating, and I can't get past that! :)

I prefer the first one personally, but I imagine kids would like the second one more b/c of the brighter colors. But MY vote is for the first!

I don't like the way the figures are arranged in the second.

I just ordered the second one a few days ago from Blountys- could not find it cheaper- got an order confermation but no shipping e-mail yet- ordered in on Thursday night I think- will let you know when it gets here- not sure if you can wait that long- I also debated between the same two! I liked the colors better and it seemed like it would sit on a table better-

I think I'm going with the first one - the floating people would probably bug me now that it's been pointed out.

Of course now I'm just irritated at the $8.95 shipping at CP. When I put in an old coupon code for free, it gave me a rather snotty message that they do not offer free shipping (um, a simple "that's expired" would suffice). I also keep waffling on paying $50 and wondering how upset I might be if it was damaged. I am almost ready to just make a chain of construction papaer! Ugh!
