Shake n Go Crash-ups Speedway?

Does anyone have this toy? My almost 5yo DS saw this in a catalog and asked Santa for it. On the box it says for ages 3 and up. For those of you who have it or have seen it IRL, do you think this is a toy that would easily bore a child ages 5 and up? I just do not want to invest $50 in a toy for DS if he is going to outgorw it soon. It also seems to take up a fair amount of space, which is at a premium in our house.

I asked a similar question about a week ago. I was comparing shake n go to Darda. Everyone who replied said that Darda got much more play at the age you're mentioning and that shake-n-go appealed more to a younger age range.

I wouldn't spend the money. DS1 got the Shake n Go speedway when DS2 was born (so he was 3.5yo) and he found it kinda boring. Even now, neither cares about the racetrack, although DS2 will play with the cars periodically (they are a fun toddler toy).
