When is a good time to buy Christmas stockings (and where)?

The ones I like run about $25 a pop. And I need 5.:(

What are you looking for? Something like Pottery Barn? Needlepoint? Felt/Modern like Hable?

I saw some for sale really cheap w/ the Garnet Hill sale. They were Hable...but only a few patterns were available at the sale price. Etsy also has some similar to that style. Etsy also has a bunch of other styles as well, but I know I've seen some of the felt ones on there.

Surprisingly, JC Penney has had good deals on the needlepoint style ones in the past. I'm not sure how good the price is now, but I remember seeing a lot of people snapping them up around here when they were on sale a year ago or so.

I'm sure they'll go on sale before Christmas if you can stand to wait until closer to Christmas day. The only thing then is the selection will be somewhat limited.

That probably doesn't help. If I bump into any sales when I'm online shopping I'll let you know...just let us know what style you are looking for.

Ah, too bad. LL Bean had 3 styles on their Thursday Morning Markdown this week -- $10. Free embroidery and free shipping to. I ordered a new one for the dog. Lands End had their stockings on sale in the summer for I think $12.99 or so. I got 4 new ones for us then.

You could see if LL Bean still has any on sale and you could try the LE overstocks.
