What would you get a curious, creative 2 yr old boy for Xmas?

I don't know at all what to get Cha Cha for Xmas. He loves robots, building blocks, cars- pretty much what every other little boy loves.

Any ideas?

DS is a month older then Cha Cha ... he is getting:
Geotrax GCS to go with an existing set
Maybe a doll house
Hi ho cheerio game (may be too old for him)
Magnatiles
Books and more books
Pots and pans for kitchen
Wood play food for kitchen

Another idea ...
Magnetic board to go up in playroom/bedroom
Alex magnetic gears
DS has this now and loves it

DS loves to play with:
Duplo
M&D Train Set
Geotrax train set
Books
Puzzles (M&D fishing puzzle is current hit) and the smaller M&D wooden sets with 12 pieces each sold in a set of 4 puzzles
Wooden kitchen

How about musical instruments? I got my DD the Plan Toys wooden drum and a cool retro xylophone. Or a ride-on toy? My problem is the opposite: narrowing my list to just a couple of things!
