My son Joshua is 26" long (mostly in his legs) and his little feet are getting very close to the back of the seat. I have a Graco comfort Sport, and although I know it is not the priciest/fanciest seat around, really like it. Josh is 4 months and 17 lbs.

My problem is that we moved to Africa, and I bought this seat hoping that we would be able to use it for a very long time....any suggestions on how I can do this other than forward facing. (Obviously there are no regulations about car-seats here, but I want him rear-facing for his safety, not because of regulations.) I don't know how any other seat would be any different. I just don't know how he will fit in it rear-facing in a month or two???

TIA

Jo,

I have a tall baby, too, and it's no big deal that his legs are long - he should really stay rear-facing - check out this link:
