I've been looking at the web board and noticed some car seats have difficulties in various automobiles. Does anyone have a Ford Explorer Sport that could recommend an Infant Car Seat? The hubby & I were looking at the Graco Snug Rides but...would like to hear what other's had to say. Our second car is a Honda Civic.

Thanks!

You can check Toby's database - www.carseatdata.org.

We have a new explorer sport and have bought the Snug Ride, but haven't actually tried it out yet. The seats in it are quite roomy so I am hoping we won't have a problem. Our toddler uses a forward facing Britax RA and the seat fits perfectly fine. I will see how well Snug Ride fits and post when I get the chance.

Thanks for the responses. I checked out the car data org. page and my '98 Explorer Sport wasn't listed. Either was our '95 Honda Civic. So if anyone has any other information pertaining to this two car types...I'd be so grateful!

Try similar models and model years - the manufacturers don't make too many changes year to year!

I used a Graco Snugride in our '98 Explorer (not the Sport, though) and the fit was wonderful. The flat back seat in the Explorer makes installing carseats a snap! Good luck!
