Can anyone tell me the difference between the Roundabout and the Marathon? Which do you prefer? Why is one more expensive than the other?

TIA

The Roundabout is a convertable seat that goes up to 30 pounds rearfacing and 40 pounds forward facing. Lots of parents love and swear by this seat.

The Marathon is a new seat (2002) that goes up to 33 pounds rear facing and 65 pounds forward facing. I have this seat and LOVE it. The price difference is due to differences in the seat that allow it to go up to 65 pounds.

The Roundabout has been around for a while.... very well liked seat... all the comfort for baby and easy to use for Parents!
Accomodates a child from 5 to 40 ... RFing and FFing!

The Marathon just came out... is basically like a RA on steroids! It has an additional harness slot and can accomdate a child up to 65 lbs!!! It enables people to keep their children rear facing for a long time which is safer for the child!!! With the higher weight limit the MA illiminates a need for a COMBO BOOSTER... the child will use the MA till they are truely ready to move to a proper boster seat.

Most MA owners love their car seats... some have had trouble fitting the seat in their cars because it is a Large seat... there were a few complaints of the harness adjuster being a little more difficult to use than the RA but overall people are happy with the MA!

If you are interrested in the RA and don't want latch check the right start for non Latch RA's for 139.99!

Good Luck!
