My beloved britax roundabout is in need of repair. When i called costomer service they said i'd have to mail it to them to be fixed. The adjustable strap in the front that tightens and loosens the harness straps is severely frayed. It still works but sometimes it's a struggle and they don't sell this strap it must be replaced at the factory. With baby #2 due in july he/she won't need it for a while but i would like to have it fixed but i don't want to pay more than it would cost to buy a new car seat. Has anyone every mailed a car seat before or dealt with britax repairs. Hubby is not gonna want me buying a new one so i would like to salvage it if i can at minimum cost.

I've read many accounts of people who are very happy with the Britax repairs department. You'd have to ask them how much the repair will be, and find out how much shipping is. Even those costs certainly won't add up to the price of another Britax, and probably not even more than the cost of any other new seat. Good luck!
