The Summit seems to get good ratings with Consumer Reports, and looks like a decent seat. Any reason not to buy one?

Thanks,

It's very nice when used as a booster. Used with the harness, it shares some of the issues parents have found on other Cosco combination seats.

I have one and I like it, but it's not the perfect combination seat. Consumer Reports has overblown their issue with some boosters, so take their ratings with a grain of salt. Also:

I have a review on the Summit here:

I hope that helps!

Thank you, Darren. What is your 5-star recommendation for front-facing seat with harness for a taller child, under 40 lbs?

So much depends on personal preference, and especially on the fit with your child and vehicle.

I can give you some resources to models recommended by technicians and advocates, though:-)
