I was just wondering if anyone out there has any experience of putting an infant car seat in a 2-door coupe. I have a Graco snug ride and tried it in my SC 300. It seems okay, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it and how safe it is since the car sits pretty low. My DH and I are trying not to buy a new car yet. Please let me know if anyone out there has any experience with this type of situation. Thank you.

We have a 2 door 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. I'll admit that i find it easier & quicker in our 4 door, but it's nowhere as hard or cumbersome as i thought it would be in the Two Door. Definitely takes some getting used too!

We are using the SnugRide also.

You're SO lucky it fits. My husband and I had a matched pair of New Beetles. I tried to install a Snug Ride and a Britax Handle with Care in the back seat, but couldn't get either one to fit. Actually, they fit, but you couldn't get anyone else other than the driver in the car. We ended up selling my car and buying an suv. :(

Just my two cents...

We put a Evenflo Cozy Carry 3 in a 1995 Ford Escort Hatchback. I'm not sure the angle was ever the greatest, but it worked. It's been just replaced with a Graco Comfort Sport that needed a noodle to fix the angle.

We put a snugride in the back of our 2 door Mercury Cougar. The back seats are very deep buckets. It fit, but it was not easy. We still have our Cougar, but sold our 2 seat pick-up and got an SUV, which we mostly use when traveling with DD.

BTW, my husband was in a minor accident with the Cougar while my daughter was in the snugride. She slept through the whole thing.

DD is now 26" and ready to move into a convertable seat, but we are having trouble finding something to fit in there.

I drive a Ford Mustang two-door that I wish I could afford to get rid of. I really need a new car! I have the snugride installed behind the passenger seat but the passenger seat has to be pushed all the way forward. I probably couldn't actually get someone in the passenger seat with my DD in the car. We have Britax seats for later use, but I doubt that the Britax RA will fit in my Mustang. Hopefully by then we can afford a new car for me.
