A friend of mine got the 5pt Stay-in-View and it didn't come with the clasp for across the chest like most 5pts. Fisher Price says that it doesn't need one as long as it's tight enough. That seems weird to me.

Anyone out there have an opinion???

Thanks!

Weird but true. I questioned that when I got mine too. It does seem to work fine because the crotch strap is longer than most other seats, so that means that the buckle sort of acts like a chest clip.

We had to educate the nurse at the hospital about it because she thought the seat was broken and would not let us leave in it until I explained that I had called Fisher Price and she read the instruction manual.

That said, I have noticed that if you don't move the straps up a slot when baby gets bigger, they do tend to fall off the shoulders. Baby will slump down and the straps are then looser than when you started.
