Evenflo Triumph on a plane?

Has anyone ever taken their triumph on a plane? We're going to be traveling in a couple of months and I can't decide whether to take the triumph, which is more comfy, but I think heavier and wider, or our bottom of the line Graco Comfort Sport which isn't nearly so comfy, but I think it's lighter and narrower. I think I'd like to take the Triumph if it wouldn't be too much of a pain. Any thoughts? Does a triumph fit in an airline seat ok? (I know it's FAA approved.) I'll be traveling with several family members so it's not like I'd be lugging the carseat through the airport entirely on my own.
