This has probably been covered ad nauseum, but I can't find the original problem in the archives. What was the issue with the Marathons, please? I bought one last year, and I want to know what I should look for that everyone was talking about? Something about the routing of the restraint straps?

Many thanks!

The site that had the pictures has been down for some time. Are you having a specific problem with your seat? I know someone with a frayed harnesse adjuster strap, and Britax sent her a new one with instructions to replace it herself, so it might be worth a call to Britax if that's what your problem is. But if your seat is adjusting smoothly with no fraying, then it's fine (not ALL seats first produced had problems :) )

I also recently purchased a Marathon and have a few questions.

Where do you find the manufacture date?

Is there a date after which the routing is no longer an issue?

Did you buy a spare cover?

There's a sticker with the DOM on it somewhere on your seat...under the front of the cover, I think(It's been SO long since I looked at mine, I don't really remember!)
It's been probably since january or february since the straps were routed wrong, and most stores go through all their stock in weeks, usually.
I'm about to buy my third cover...started with Fido, then got Arctic Cat for dd, and now she likes the Freedom, so I think we're going for that. Sometimes they have sales, like colonial blue was $25 for awhile, it's best to check in ocassionally (stormy is cheaper now, but not a huge bargain.... )
