Just wondering if it is ok not to lock the "locking clips" on the rear facing Roundabout. I can't get the clip to lock because the buckle of the seatbelt is at an akward angle. The seatbelt is already in a "locked position" without the locking clips. Is this OK?? Other than that, the seat fits solidly with the tether. Any input would be appreciated

Thanks, New Mommy

Don't worry, you're good. The belt locks, and that's what's going to hold the seat in a crash, no need for lockoffs.

I just had my Marathon (also in a non-latch Honda) checked by a police officer/certified carseat tech and he actually reinstalled the whole seat to get a really tight/fit.
It seems it's impossible to close the locking clips in my car if I want the tightest fit b/c the angle of the belt gets in the way. The officer said it was no big deal not to use them.
