View Full Version : Tightening my awful Cosco Touriva...

We have a Cosco Touriva as a secondary carseat (Roundabout as the primary), and the thing is driving me nuts. If I had a nickel for every time I cursed this seat...

The front tightening pull alone doesn't tighten the straps. I have to reach behind the seat and pull the two straps down where they emerge from the plastic, then yank up on the tightening pull on the front as hard as I can. The two actions together manage to tighten the straps most of the time, but on rare occasions even this doesn't work.

We've tried re-installing the seat, and putting it in different cars, and the damn thing always has this problem.

DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM, or do I have a defective seat?

Ugh, how annoying!
No, I never had this problem with mine...maybe you should try calling them and asking for a new harness? It's either very cheap or free, and *might* help. At the very least, you can log in a complaint so they can know people are unappy with their seats.

I HATE that seat, it does not install easily and it never adjusts well for me. Yuck, I would never recommend it.

We don't have this problem with our Cosco Touriva.

I have the same problem. I have a RA for my son and the Touriva for the other baby I babysit. For those that don't have any problems, are you using the seat RF or FF? I've heard that it's only difficult to adjust the straps when it is RF. Maybe I'll call the company to complain.

I have only used the Touriva FF, so maybe that is the difference.
