I have a Fisher Price convertible seat that was highly rated when I bought it in 2000, but it's no longer manufactured. Is it still safe? It's never been in an accident, and has been stored indoors.

I need info soon, my youngest is about to outgrow his infant seat. Thanks!

They are "good" for eight years, so if you have all the parts (and a manual is helpful) and, as you said, it's never been in a crash, then go for it, it's a great seat :)
