I own a 2001 Toyota RAV 4 and am thinking of buying a Britax Marathon. Just curious if anybody out there knows if they fit the RAV 4 well or not. I don't have the luxury of trying one out as no stores in my area sell the Marathon. I have to order it and have it shipped. Thanks for the help.

I don't see why it wouldn't fit, but do try www.carseatdata.org to see if it has worked or not in that year (or any similar model year)...oh, darn, I just checked, and there are no entries. I still don't see why it wouldn't fit. If you or your front seat passenger are exceptionally tall folks, you might find the front seat to be very cramped, but that's true of all tall people and rearfacing seats. Still, Marathons are compatible with over 90% of vehicles (compared to the Alpha Omega, for example, which is only compatible with about 75%), and the RAV4 has a flattish bench seat, yes? That's a seat style that is often quite easy to install a Child seat into.
