Hi,

We're buying a second carseat for our new Honda Civic 4-door. We use the Evenflo Triumph in our other car and really like it. The Triumph doesn't fit well in our Honda, though. Can anyone suggest a carseat that would work for a Civic? (Especially anyone who has a civic and really likes how their carseat fits.) I looked up the carseat fit database, only someone there rated the Triumph as fitting well in a Civic, so I'm not sure how much to trust the other info.

Thanks in advance--

I have a 98 honda civic 4 door. We have a marathon, but haven't started using it yet. It fit when we tried it in the car at the store. I'm getting it installed tomorrow, so I'll let you know how it fits then.

Thanks, Noah. I'd be curious to know how it fits. If it fits well, maybe we'll take the plunge and buy a Britax, too.

It fits great! (Noah's the baby, btw. I'm Emily.)

I have a Britax wizzard and love it in my 2003 civic, but it does take up a little more than just the center seat.

Thanks, Emily! I guess Noah would have to be really talented to be driving already. :)

DH and I just switched cars, but I have a 1996 Hinda civic and the britax marathon fit fine. However, while it was rear-facing, DH could not drive the car as he is tall and had no room (we put ours behind the driver's seat).

I really like the MA, and it is now FF in a subaru impreza. It is a big car seat but seems really comfy. GL!

Just for comparison. I installed it behind the driver's seat, and there is not much room in between, but the seats aren't touching. I don't think you would have any trouble installing a Britax Marathon or Wizard in your Civic, but if you put it behind a seat, don't count on reclining the seat!

It would also have installed nicely in the center position, but that was just too hard on my back, lifting DS in and out.
