I have installed a snugride with the base in my SUV and for some reason, it tips everytime I turn in a winding road and my baby is screaming. What should I do to avoid that. I need your help please!
TIA
Vidya

You need to have the installation checked, and quickly. If it's properly installed, it won't move at all when you go around curves. If it's moving, it sounds like the installation isn't tight enough. A properly installed seat shouldn't move more than an inch in any direction when you tug on it. Local fire stations and police stations usually have someone to help you get your carseat correctly installed. Please don't wait. A seat that's too loose isn't protecting your baby.

Do you have it installed with just a lap belt or a shoulder/lap belt?

Sounds like you probably need a locking clip.

I agree with Rachel, get it checked out ASAP. www.seatcheck.org

It sounds like you have it installed with a lap and shoulder seatbelt that is set/designed to retract automatically. As you turn, the shoulder part of the belt is pulled up as slack created in the belt from the turning motion is automatcially retracted. We could NEVER get our SnugRide with base into our car with out it tilting more and more since we have the same kind of retractor on a lap/shoulder belt. We needed a locking clip but did not know it! And so we used it without the base. What you need to do is likely use a locking clip (1/2 inch for the latchplate/buckle). Locking clips are confusing SO if you have questions getting it checked by a tech in person is really important! Until you get it checked and in right, I would suggest using the carrier without the base in your car- perfectly safe and no tilting since the belt path allows the shoulder part out!
