View Full Version : Is the Cosco padding a problem?

I can't decide what to get as my travel seat:( I read a lot of the postings here and decided a Cosco regal would fit my needs. When I saw it at Target, I became worried at the lack of padding. I was going to get a Graco Comfortsport, but nobody is raving about it. Now I'm back to the Cosco. In the event of a crash, does the lack of padding make any difference in terms of safety?
Thanks,
Kerry

For safety, no. These seats, and most others, do surprisingly well even with minimal padding (EPS foam is a European standard that some US companies are taking up...mostly for marketing purposes, I think, but I do *like* it, even if it doesn't really seem to have much effect on overall injury rates).

For comfort...very few babies complain...I think it depends on how sensitive a kiddo is...If you have a real high needs baby (ie, fussy), then you all might be happiest with a Roundabout or high-end Comfortsport)
