Hi I am installing my Marathon in my 2001 Toyota Corolla. I'm putting it RF in the middle back seat. It fits well and doesn't impair my vision.

1. When putting the seatbelt through (lap/shoulder belt) do both parts of the seat belt go above/below the foam? How does this work?

2. There are 2 styrofoam peices near the base. Do these stay in?

3. I have the seat reclined and braced with the two front seats. Is versa tether still necessary? Is my daughters safety compromised w/o it?

4. How much is the seat supposed to be able to move when installed correctly?

ThankYou so much!

Kerry

Put both parts of the seatbelt under the comfort (grey) foam, so it isn't sqooshed down and will be comfortable for baby's bum. Also, put the belt behind (on the bum side) the crotch strap, so the belt doesn't press the crotch strap down shorter. Don't forget to use the black belt lockoffs (at least on the side away from the buckle).
Yes, leave that styrofoam in the seat, it definitely belongs there.
Tethering and bracing are completely different safety functions. You SHOULD try to swedish tether it http://www.angelfire.com/wa3/isakswings/ratetherrf.html

The seat should move no more than one inch side to side "at the belt path" which means the top might wiggle and shake, before you tether it, but the base there on the vehicle seat should basically not move...usually I keep the cover peeled back after I route the belt in the belt path, and pull UP UP UP on the shoulderbelt, to make the lapbelt tight, while pushing down down down on the very front of the seat...that will make it get pretty upright, but then you'll tether it and pull it back into a good recline.

Hope that helps a little, sorry my response wasn't as organized as your questions!

Thanks, Does the RF tether have to go straight down? If I do tether, I will need to have the strap go at an angle to get it under one on the front seats. Is this OK?

Yup, a slight angle is fine, though it may cause a slight tilt in your seat, that's not bad in anyway :)
