I saw babycenter.com has it on sale (2 colors only) for $188 + free shipping. Just wondering how everyone likes it...I thought I remembered some people not liking it as well as the marathon???

Thanks!

We have the Wizard and it took some time getting used to the side wings, but now we like it. For awhile, DD was resting her head on top of the points of the wings instead of between the wings, but now she puts her head where it's supposed to go. It is easy to install and has more side impact protection than other seats, they claim.

That is a great price for the Wizard. We paid $249 plus tax at BRU.

We have been using the wizard for over 9 months at this point and we love it. DD has never had a problem with the wings but she hasn't really gotten to know anything different since she started using it at such a young age.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy this seat again.

My ds has been in a Wizard since he was 8 months old and we love it!!! We have never had a problem with the wings; he doesn't mind them at all and I love that there's a place for him to put his head when he falls asleep.

Thanks for the FYI about the great price. My dd has nearly outgrown the infant seat and I thought I was going to wait for the new Boulevard fabrics to come out. I couldn't pass up this price though and just ordered a Funky Denim Wizard for her. Not my first choice of color, but I won't complain. As an FYI, you can also go through ebates and get 5% back. An even better deal!!!

Thanks for your replies. Just curious about its size. I think I read it uses the same fram as the marathon. Is this correct? I have a 1998 Honda Accord and wondering if it will fit. Jools said the marathon would fit.

Thanks for the heads up about ebates.

Here are the reviews on the review section of BBB:

Mine is at the bottom and as you can see, I adore this seat.

You were right- the shell sizes are the same for the Wizard and the MA so it will fit!

We have it and love it. I actually just bought another one for our second due next month because we like Taran's so much. We've never had a problem with the wings, and I like how easy it is to adjust the straps. Yeah, it's not the pattern I would have liked, but frankly, I like the seat too much to care about that a lot. :)

I bought my DD the BV when she was about 3-4 mo. We loved it so much that I was thinking about getting my 2.5 yo DS one, but instead decided to try the Wizard for $199 (with free ground shipping) from BabyCatalog.com. I figured that if we had issues with it we could just put him back in his Nania Airway. Mind you, my DS has never had the wings and the Wizard's wings are suppossed to be too confining (hence the design change to the BV). Well, we got the seat in less than 24 hours after we ordered it and put it in the car right away. My DS loved it!!! He fell asleep in it that afternoon and I knew that he looked much comfortable resting his head on the wings than he did with his head crooked on his neck!! I told my DH that we should have just started with the Wizard for my DD as well since the BV is so much more expensive, but he reminded me that we got the BV for only $220 (TRU 20% off coupon)so the price was not that much difference.

So, short story long...we LOVE the Wizard. Great seat, easy to install, DS falls asleep comfortably (sp?), and good price!! I say go for it!
Good luck,
Mariah P.

We have both MA and WZ. My 4 and almost-6 yrs old do still fit in either one. I do like the WZ for its side-impact protection though.
