I need to take a train or bus in a couple of weeks (3 hour ride). What do I do with my 9 month old? If I'm recalling correctly, there aren't seat belts in either. I will have the carseat with us (Roundabout). Should I put DS in it without the seat belt? Hold him on my lap?
Thanks,
Carrie

I don't know what others will tell you, but yes neither the train or the bus have seatbelts. If you put him in the RA, he will just sits unstrapped into the vehicle anyway. But can you hold him in your lap and for how long?

The train is safer than the bus, but yes you can just hold him on your lap. Or you may be able to have the stroller on the train for him to lay in. Sometimes there is a space for wheelchairs where you can put the stroller.

We took the Auto Train to Florida and I just held Logan or put her on the seat next to me.
