I know there are lots of posts similar to this, however, for $10 more, I can get the Wizard over the Marathon. Should I do this for my 5 month old? Thanks so much! :)

We have the Wizard and love it! The head support/protection is great! DD doesn't have a floppy head since there is something there to hold her head up. For only $10 I'd get the Wizard!

For a child that young, you can try getting your baby used to the wings of the WZ. It's a nice seat and the side-impact protection is a good feature to have.

I agree with the PP's. Get the Wizard. We have 2 and love it for our 28mo DD. If you ever decide to move the seat to an outboard seating position, you will be happy to have the SIP. Also, if your baby gets used to no SIP in a Marathon, and then you try to get her into a seat with SIP wings later, she may reject the wings. Better to get her comfortable with them while she is young.

For a mere $10 I would start off with a Wizard. Britax was still working out the design kinks from the first Wizard model when we bought our Marathon. But a friend of ours has the Wizard and now that DD's used to the wingless Marathon, she HATES being in their Wizard and is constantly straining her neck to look out past the SIP wings, negating their usefulness. Our friend's baby has no problems with it, since she doesn't know any better. That's my 2 cents anyhow.

I had a similar dilemma last December. We ended up going with a Wizard and could not be happier with it. I recommend it to all my friends.
