Most car seats do not fit in the SAAB 92x if you or your husband/partner are over 5' 10"! In fact, of the decently ranked infant seats the only one that fits is the Graco Snug ride (which I don't really care for). There are no convertible seats that will fit in the inclined rear facing position. Both my husband and I drive and ride with the seats all the way back (in all cars), but in order to have our first child, we will have to move our seats forward about 2 clicks and feel a bit cramped in the front seats. In this position, I am able to wedge the base and the seat into the middle rear position inorder to make it fit. It will be the same situation when we upgrade to a convertible seat as our child grows out of the infant seat. As we just purchased this otherwise wonderful car, we are very dissapointed, and know that we will not be able to use this car if we ever want to have a second child while the first is still in a seat.

With the Graco, you can at least leave the handle up, which gives you more space...and convertibles when rearfacing with older babies are quite upright.

Sitting more forward is just one of those compromises of millions parents have to make, I'm afraid....or get a minivan... :(

I'm forced to delay my mid-life crisis (and hot convertible) until the kid(dos) is/are out of carseats. :(
