I've read that it is easier to get a good, tight installation with the Combi Connection car seat than it is with the Graco SnugRides. That coupled with the fact that it is hard to find the newer limit SnugRides has me leaning towards the Combi. However, I was wondering if anyone knew if the base/LATCH connection of the Connection was significantly different from the Tyro which had problems in the last round of Consumer Reports tests.

Also, does anyone else have any good reasons why to go with one over the other? (I'd probably get a higher end SnugRide, but what features, aside from front adjustable harness and larger limits are actually useful/desireable?)

Thanks
Carson.

I'm hoping Heather (murphydog77) will see this, she's actually played with a Connection and taken pictures, which I don't have in my favorites list... so <bumpity bump>

I'm not familiar with the Tyro base at all, other than a friend who owns a baby store finally resorted to giving away the Tyros with strollers because he hated the seats so much that he wanted to get them out of stock. He had real problems installing the base and I don't remember why off the top of my head now. OTOH, he really likes the Connection and was really excited to have me demo it. It installed very easily for me once I got the hang of it. The infant seat itself has EPS foam, which the SnugRide doesn't have, plus an extra pad called "egg shock foam."
