Britax Companion extra base

Help! We're going on vacation for two weeks in August and I had been counting on buying an extra base for my 2005 Britax Companion carseat to send to our destination. Everyone seems to be out of stock.

Any ideas on where I can get one? Anyone have one they want to sell?

It is really, really easy to install without the base. Maybe try it without?
