View Full Version : Buying New carseats on Ebay?

Anyone know if this is a bad idea? Albee Baby (their ebay name is babysurplus) is selling new Britax Baby Safe carseats for $150 on ebay.

I am so tempted to buy one, but it seems like it is too good a deal to be true. They are a Britax reseller, so the seat should be covered under the Britax warantee, right?

Has anyone else bought one there? Good or bad reports?

Thanks,
Rachel

I just bought three MAs from Albee. Shouldn't be a problem.

Instead of just buying off ebay, make sure you check Albee's website, too:

www.AlbeeBaby.com

You can often get an equal or better deal going directly through their site. I just ordered a Mac Quest through them. They have super-fast shipping. You might want to do a search of previous posts, there has been lots of talk about them. (Mostly good! :) )

I would not hesitate to buy from them. I have purchased with them and had an issue with a stroller arriving damaged, not their fault. The manufacturer would do nothing. Albee took care of it. They were fast and good. Go for it.

Double check their shipping charges on Ebay. I believe that they have a high shipping charge that makes up for the lower price. You can probably go directly through their website and get it for about the same total price since shipping on their website is free.
