Installed in a Subaru Outback Wagon behind the driver's seat, rear facing.

I reclined the seat the entire way but the angle did not look right because the seat sort of angles down. I folded a toweland out in underneath the car seat near the front of it to make back seat alittle more level before I out the car seat on it. I latched the seat in pretty tight but I felt I needed to tether it to something because it seemed a bit wobbly. I found a thick bolt that is located on the botton of the back seat where the car seat is on. It is a very thick bolt and seems pretty stable. It also helps to stablize the car seat and I think it puts it at a better angle.

My wife wanted me to check with you to see if what I did sounds ok.

Britax seems to be happier if you do the tether more towards the front of the vehicle, like this http://www.pbase.com/carseat/outback but I would call them 18884BRITAX and get a clarification that what you have is actually wrong (They promised us a proper policy statement on tether positons six months ago, and they are really lagging on that, so maybe if more people call they will get the hint...)

(secretly? I'd probably do what you did with my own seat ;))
