Hi there,
I am trying to decide on which carseat to get for my parents car. I have a MA in my car and I LOVE it. My son is 22 months, 28lbs, and 35". I do have him forward facing (he was so unhappy rearfacing). Are the MA and Wizard basically the same seat except for the wings? I am considering the Wizard for my car and moving his MA into my parents car. I don't know, there are just too many choices and I am beginning to get overwhelmed. At first I was considering something less expensive for their car, but I am afraid that I just won't be as happy with it as I am with the Britax.
Any suggestions??

TIA,
Jill

Have you found the Wizard on clearance? They ARE discontinued... I might be inclined to just go with what you know and get a Marathon... safe, easy to use, no issue with tight headwings...and much cuter covers!

Thanks Julie! I think you are right! I went ahead and ordered a MA from Albee Baby. I got it for $214 with free shipping! Woo-hoo!! They have a few on clearance because they are discontinuing the fabrics. I got "Funky Denim". I have the "New Blues" in my car. Since we are in TX, the 100% cotton is much cooler than the poly blend fabrics. Thank for all of your help---I have really learned alot from this forum.

Why did they discontinue the wizard?

The Wizard is being replaced by the Boulevard with wider side-impact protection wings and infant insert.

SOOOO many people hated the headwings being too close together... The Boulevard is just a much more head-friendly design :)

Darn. I just got my wizard before the prices went up and she hasn't switched from her infant seat yet so I didn't realize it was a problem. Do you think I should return it or something?

Well, a lot of babies who go straight from infant seat to Wizard don't know or care any different... and a lot of big kids who go into the wizard LOVE the "pillows"...so it wasn't a universally despised seat, just not popular enough to keep making... maybe you should put her in it and see how she reacts? Most kids do look up and look around a lot, that's not a sign that they are uncomfortable, but if she starts the dreadful scream of death, that might be a clue it's not the right seat for you ;)

Nah, might not be a 'problem' for you guys. My 4 yrs old started using the WZ when he was 2 and still likes it.
