I am wonder if the pink is an obnoxious pepto bismol type pink. I really want a girly seat for DD. Thanks!

Hi Betsy. Let me assure you that I detest the color pink! I saw the Tiffany cover last week at a trade show and it is gorgeous. The pink is a rose-colored pink and the fabric is soft and plush. You'll really like the cover.

Thanks! Also, do you think the Decathlon has many advantages over the Marathon for the increase in price? The Ashley cover is pretty cute too.

Well, IMO, no. But that has to be qualified. The only differences are some extra pillows, the harness adjuster button, the forward-facing lockoffs, and the way the LATCH straps are attached.

Some people have had problems with curious toddlers reaching down to loosen the harness on their Marathons--they have long arms and can reach the harness adjuster. Having the button adjuster on the Decathlon pretty much eliminates this problem because a child can't get the leverage to push down on the button. I also feel that it's a behaviorial issue and it should be dealt with in a firm, loving manner by the parent (because if they'll find other ways to get out of their harness if it's not loosening it at the adjuster).

If you're buying the seat for a small baby, the extra pillows are great positioning devices. If you're buying for a toddler, you'd just be tossing them aside.

Here's a pic of it. Sorry it's not in better focus :).

MOst places say it is available at the end of the month or in October. But I did notice that Babyage seems to have it (doesn't say anything about not being in stock), and so does arunningstroller. I was thinking about getting this seat in that pattern. The fabric looks really nice.

It's release date was 9/15, so it should be out now.

Did Marilyn have the usual MSRP? I wish shipping wasn't so much with the online shops!

Most places have free shipping with these seats. You could also purchase from babyage through ebates and get cash back, assuming Britax isn't exempt since their price fixing.

Can't believe I found the answer to the very question I had. I've searched all the stores around for the seat and no one has it. I'm going to order on-line tonight. I'm glad to see a plug for "babyage" because I've never used it before. I'm choosing the Decathlon because my little one is 6 months and just seems to small for a big chair without any extra padding. Of course, my husband isn't happy about the pink, but since it's in my car and I'll be the one mostly cleaning it...my choice!
