My DS has finally outgrown out Cmmbi Tyro infant seat and has moved into a Marathon. My DH picks him up from day care twice per week, so we will need a second seat for his car. I would like to keep the costs low, under 150 is great, around 100 is even better. The next trick is that my DH has a Ford F-150 extended cab (third door, but not 4 full size doors). We have been able to fit the Tyro in there with relative ease in the center position. Any recommendations for a seat that will fit, be safe, and not break the bank?? TIA!!

My DH used to have an F150 (until we traded it for my minin-van :) )
We used a Britax RA right from infancy in that car and it worked great with plenty of room. There are some pretty good deals on RA's right now, if I find one I'll post later. But the Cosco Scenera gets good reviews from the techs here as an inexpensive second seat ($40-ish). If the RA fits back there I can't imagine having a problem with the size on other seats. HTH!
