How do you work the *&$^@#! clips?! I finally ordered one of these, and there are no instructions and I can't get the dang things open. I'm not a technical wizard, but to be utterly stumped by some little metal clips is embarrassing. Rescue me, please!

Strong, aren't they? Little beast broke my fingernail...which is saying a lot, since I bite my nails really short!

Hmmm... I'm trying to remember the trick... they are like suspender clips...or are you too young to have had a pair of rainbow Mork from Ork suspenders in 1982? ROFL! There's that smoother metal top flap that has to come up so the toothy-grippy jaws will open... You just have to work that top flap with something.. butterknife?.. to get it open.

I haven't had mine in awhile, maybe someone that still has theirs has a better handle on the situation and will chime in :D.

Hey, at least you know they won't come off your seat! (didn't damage my cover either, yay!)

I pried them open with a butterknife. They are just too darn tight for a regular human fingernail! ;-) Take the butterknife to the car, because invariably you will snap it on to the seat in the wrong place and need to adjust it. ;-) They do loosen up a bit, but are still very very difficult to open w/o a tool of some sort.
