I am getting ready to move my son from his infant seat to a convertable seat. Is the Britax Roundabout worth the extra expense over the Evenflo Triumph? Or should I forgo both of those, bite the bullet and buy the Marathon?

The Marathon costs more, but it lasts twice as long as the Triumph, and most people would agree it's almost twice the quality and safety features and ease of use. If you have a 2 door car, I'd go with the Roundabout or even Triumph (VERY short back...VERY bad for rearfacing a long time...but in a small car, you gotta do what you gotta do so everyone fits)...
I mean, the Triumphs not bad, it has some devoted fans, but I'm here a lot and read a lot of complaints about the harness not fitting kids very well (bottom slots too low, middle slots too high for optimal fit and safety), and of course it weighs more than the Marathon, so it's not a great choice if you travel or move it around much... Read around, see if you think there's a compelling reason to choose one or the other (besides the incredibly cute MA covers, rofl!)

I was hoping you would read my post and reply! Thank you so much! I have a Honda Oddessy. Do you know of any problems with the Marathon fitting? As long as it fits, sounds like that Marathon is the way to go. I would imagine with the longer life time, the extra $100.00 pays off, correct?

Yeah, the extra 100$ pays off, because you won't ever find yourself shopping for another seat with higher top slots, that would cost $100 :).
Here's my photobucket acct with my Marathon in my Ody... it fits terrifically :) http://photobucket.com/albums/y255/joolstag/

The Marathon fits beautifully in an Odyssey, both RF and FF.

Thanks all so very much! I am thinking I better hurry up. It was $219 on Traveling Tikes yesterday and today it is up to $229!
