Britax expiration......

I know this has been discussed before but I want to be sure I'm right. I seem to remember that car seat expirations are six years after manufacture date. But I could swear I saw somewhere that Britax carseats could be used for 8 years. Am I crazy? I'm asking because we just got my oldest's Britax Roundabout out for my baby (6 mos. old) and the date on it is Sept. 1999. So, I either just missed it or I have a couple of years left.

Britax is six years. It's the Fisher-Price seats (that are no longer made) that were 8 years.
