My son is 3 years old 40 1/2 tall and just hit 40 lbs. I am unsure which booster is best. I was waiting for the Britax Regent to come out, but I just saw the Recaro Young sport.
Pros and Cons:
Britax harness is up to 80 lbs, but the seat is HUGE!!

Recaro is smaller (I think) but harness is only up to 40 lbs.
Then the seat belt must be used.

Is three old enough to use a Belt Positioning Booster?? He is as far as height and weight, but is it really safe??

Right now he is in a Britax Advantage and just hit the weight limit. I have to decide quick!!
-Thanks

If this car seat is for his primary transportation, I'd go with the Regent. My 3 1/2 year old was the same size at 3, and there's no way he was ready to be in a BPB full time. He is in a BPB in Dad and Grandma's car (used less than once per month). In my car, he's in a Husky (old name for the Regent) and loves it. And I love it because he's sooooo much safer. He's nowhere near ready for a BPB full time. The Husky/Regent lets ME decide when he's ready for the BPB.
