My friend want to get me a bundle me to use this winter. I don't know if I need the lite or original since I am in the warmer climate (n. Texas) but are these safe to use in care seats. We have a snugride that we used w/ DS when he was born 2.5 years ago. TIA

Here's the link to the bundle me original...the lite it not as thick. Thanks!

I would pass. From what I've learned here, you shouldn't use anything that comes between the carseat and the baby. It could interfere with the harness and compress in a crash.

I have a regular Bundle Me and it goes OVER the carseat straps so it shouldn't be a problem. I thought the risk was when you had your baby in some sort of puffy snow suit and then put the straps on OVER that. That is when the harness might not be adjusted properly and compromise safety. Also I think you unzip the bundle Me once you get in the car so it shouldn't be a factor?

But this one also appears to go behind the baby, which is not considered safe. The best style to look for is kinda shower-cap like - so it goes over the entire seat and does not go behind baby or under the straps.
