Okay, I guess they renamed it.
Anyone know anything about it? Looks very interesting. Anyone seen it IRL? I can't find any place that sells it or a price on it. But it looks really REALLY cool. If I can get over my general distaste for the company.

Hey, wow. Just saw something on it in another thread. I'll check it out there.

I actually hear it's really nice...a friend of mine saw it at a trade show :) and you can order them already... http://www.go-baby.com/Products/sunshinerad2.html

I can't stand that company, but the mighty tite IS a solidly engineered little thingie, I have to admit that... seems like the seat is really just as well engineered...it even has a V-shaped tether and can be tethered rearfacing.

What don't you like about the company?

They are the king of unethical aftermarket products (the mighty tite is not approved for use by ANY carseat or car company, and they sell roller shades and ultra thick seat mats...stuff that doesn't enhance safety at all), and their homepage used to have THE WORST MISUSE displayed, and they wouldn't respond to anyone when we politely complained about it....those are MY reasons, anyway (probably can't resist the Radian, however, since I'm going to travel from VA to HI several times a year for the next five years, and it's very tempting for flying!)

Yeah, I noticed they FINALLY changed that home page. OMG that was disgusting, immoral... justplain wrong. How many things CAN you do wrong with one car seat? It wasn't even 'general misuse' that stuff was totally intentional.

okay... do you think it's worth buying? I mean... it's CHEAP, for a seat of that magnitude. But it's so unproven.. it would make me nervous. I guess if it hits B&M stores I can check it out for myself. It sounds amazing though. And it has the adjustable crotch strap I so covet!

It's a bit of a gamble, but the third-hand reviews I hear about it are really good (a tech friend of mine was chatting with a tech/Chicco rep at a conference that also had the Radian, lol...so it's at least 'good' third hand gossip!).

Want to be our Guinea Pig????

I don't mind being the guinea pig, but not my kid!!
I'll check it out as soon as it hits local stores and report back. If I love it, I might buy it. It looks great for FF but RF... it just creeps me out because of the folding feature... if the hinge breaks for some reason... in the kid gonna be lying flat?

Fair enough... Hmmm..I bet it's pretty easy to design a hinge that has a limiter on it... but you win for "best imagination" today...now I have to add that to my list of "what ifs...." :D

I can't wait to see one!
