Can someone list the top harness slot heights of each of the best car seats? Like the RA, MA, BV, DC, also Scenera, Generations/Bolero, ComfortSport, etc.?

www.carseatdata.org has most of them listed... but off the top of my head, the Big Britaxes are a little over 17, the Cargos and Evenflo Combos are a little under 17, the RA and Scenera and Triumph are about 15, the Comfortsport and probably the other Evenflos are a little under 15 (maybe more like 14...there are one year olds who get too tall for these things!), and all the Coscos are about 15 (the 'highback boosters' they sell have lower top slots than the Scenera, go figure...). The Husky is like 20 inches, the Apex is about 17, the Safeguard seat is about 18, and the Radian is said to be a little over 17.

Julie(whose first seat was an Evenflo Medallion that only had 13.5 inch top slots, an even my small kids were too big for that otherwise-perfect seat at age 2, so she makes a point of telling everyone to measure top slots!)

So, does that mean a child will outgrow a MA, BV, Apex or Radian all at about the same time? I'm assuming it does mean that, but that's disappointing, since I thought the Radian would work for a bigger child than the MA/BV will.

Yeah, Sunshine Kids gives the Radian a top height of 17.75 per their measurements, and Britax says the MA is 18... so even if we all agreed the MA was really 18 (um..no way? not with a cover and padding! lol), then nope, no bigger :(

Thanks, this is just the info I was looking for!

Wow, I just went to that site and it is great!

I cut and pasted and adjusted so that I now have a page of the car seats I am interested in and most of their measurements. It doesn't look too great but it does the job! Now I need to find their weights (actual weight of the seat, not weight limit). Guess I'll have to go to each seat site to get that or is there a site that has that info?

Hmmm... carseatdata might have that... sometimes websites have weights listed but that can include the box so it's shipping weight. I know the Evenflo and Graco Combo seats weigh 9 pounds or less, the Radian is 21 pounds, the Marathon is like 20 (I THINK?) pounds, Triumph is more than the Marathon, and Scenera might be like 10 pounds (???).. Good luck, tell us what you find!

OK, I found some at Consumer Reports (I wonder why carseatdata doesn't list it, they have such good info otherwise). There are more. Sorry, but I just wrote down a few.

Graco Snugride 8
RA 14
MA 18
Alpha Omega 17
Touriva 9 (Does that mean Scenera would also be 9?)
Titan 11
Triumph 19 (Darn - this was the one I was interested in and it weighs the most.)
Chase 9
Compass Booster 10
Turbo Booster 8
Racaro Start 22

Ooooh, yeah, the Triumph is a bear...definitely more than a Marathon, based on my own little 'arm test' at BRU, lol.
