I tried to install our Cosco Touriva FF in DH's 1987 Honda Accord but I couldn't get a tight fit at all. The seat belt doesn't lock. DS will probably ride in that car a few times a month. Where can I find a locking clip, if that is what I need? Also, Can a tether anchor be installed in a car that old?

Hmmmm... yeah, I think you might need a locking clip...this page shows all the possible belt types and how to install a seat with them http://www.cpsafety.com/articles/lockincss.aspx Get back to us with what kind of belts you have and we'll know for sure.

There should be a locking clip on the seat itself...well, it may have come in the manual bag and then no one stuck it on the little locking clip holder thingie on the seat, so it might be lost... Babies R Us generally has them, you might want to call, and I think Ford dealers will give you one free.

How about finding a local tech to help you figure this out, too? Sometimes having someone show you how to do it is priceless www.carseat.org But otherwise, we should be able to walk you through it :)

Oh, and about the top tether... it says ALL Accords up to 2000 had the same part number and nuts in the back pre-drilled, but if you don't see little plastic pop-out caps back there, then I'm thinking odds are poor you'll find an easy way to get one installed (the standard wasn't required till 1989, really no cars had places for tethers before that). But, give it a shot anyway...call your local dealer and ask about getting a "Plate Assembly" installed, they may well be able to do it.

I'm not sure about the 1987 but here are what the pre-drilled tether locations look like under plastic covers http://photobucket.com/albums/v499/Oakvillemoms/Carseats/?action=view&current=137_3755_edit.jpg
