View Full Version : Does a Marathon fit well rear-facing in passenger side of all cars?

We have #2 coming in March and are looking to get another set of car seats for our cars. So far we've had a Roundabout in my husband's '00 Focus and a Marathon in my '97 Accord. I love the Marathon and would kind of like to go with that, but I am concerned about whether or not a Marathon would fit rear-facing in the side seat of the Focus. The back on the marathon is so tall, and the Roundabout was a fairly tight fit when it was rear-facing.

Has anyone had a Marathon rear-facing in the passenger side of a Focus? How did it fit? Is it doable?

What about in an Accord? We had the Marathon in the center of my Accord when it was rear-facing, and we've never tried to fit it RF on the passenger side. Any problems rear-facing on the passenger side of the Accord?

Any experiences you'd be willing to share would be deeply appreciated.

Why don't you take your Marathon out and play with it. Try installing it in both cars in different positions and see how if fits for you.

You may want to consult this web page. I helped me out when I was deciding about my MA.
