Is it safe for the car seat to touch the window? There is no headrest on the truck seat so any booster or combo booster I would buy will touch the back window of the truck since it is tall. Is this safe? What do I buy? I would like a Graco Platnium CarGo or Apex 65 or similar..I am not sure what seat yet but I was going out again tonight to test them in the truck and hopefully to buy! I have been to the stores 3 times already, by myself, with ds and now with DH and the truck.
HELP

I don't *think* it's a problem... at least the seatback is between the head and the window, and it's highly unlikely anything will intrude into the window in a crash... I would check the websites and maybe call... www.gracobaby.com www.evenflo.com www.djgusa.com and even check the Radian at www.skjp.com (it's LOW but has TALL top slots...it's at some stores to at least try it out now, nicer baby stores).

Sorry this is such a pain!

I saw a link to a bad review of the radian from a car seat tech that was posted here. Is this a bad seat or is he negative?
Thanks

Yeah, I think I've seen that... so far, that's the only really negative thing I've seen about the seat, honestly...most everyone else seems to like it. I DO wish we knew more about it! Certified techs can get them for a big discount through the company directly, so I know a couple people have them on order, but of course it's going to take at least a few more weeks to get thorough reviews out of them... I'm trying not to judge it harshly until we know for sure what the majority opinion is, really.

That is interesting..he really seems to hate it, he said he wouldn't want to sell it? I am interested to hear what others have to say about it but honestly, right now, I cannot see spending that amount of money on a seat that has no reviews other than that one negative one. I know that there are seats out there I can buy for the same price or less that have worked for others, I just gotta find them right one for my son and my truck with good reviews, you know what I mean?
I wish that car seats were like strollers, (my obsession) it does not work for you and the kids you can quickly sell it for just about the same price you paid on boards or ebay even if you used it. No worries about accidents and your childs safety and life at risk. Picking the right car seat is hard!!

Oh yeah, I'm addicted to strollers, too! Had to stop even checking SWAP since I don't even have the baby yet and already have an I'coo Pico 4, a Volo, and an E3 that another friend is using....of course, I have 4 infant seats and don't see the problem with THAT, lol. I'm hoping that's the only bad review of the Radian, because it's ultra narrow and might be the only thing that works in DH's Escape center seat!

Hope the Apex works for you, keep us posted!

Doesn't the Apex require a headrest?

Yeah....but....I think the glass would be a headrest of sorts, really, in that situation... I think (wonder what Cosco thinks, or if they have thought of it?)
