Will I have any problems getting the Britax marathon or Cosco Scenara in either one of these vehicles?

I don't know about the Marathon since I don't have one (yet) but I do know the Scenera will fit in the Santa Fe just fine. I actually have the Touriva but I believe that they are basically the same seat. I have had the Touriva in my Santa Fe both rear & f/fing. I've never been inside a Tucson though - they do look like they're a bit smaller than the SF. Also I heard that they were making the '06 Santa Fe's a little bit bigger but I don't know if that's true or not. Mine's an '04.

ETA you might also check out the car seat compatibility database if you haven't already: http://www.carseatdata.org/database.html

I have had a Marathon in a Santa Fe rental with no problem. It's great rear facing because you can recline the back of the seat to get some more leg room for the baby.

We have a RF Wizard in a 2002 Santa Fe. The only "problem" is that the seat in front of it is all the way forward because the WZ reclines back so far. This isn't a huge problem for us, as I am short so I don't mind the lack of leg room. Its my husband's car and the carseat is behind the passenger seat.

FWIW, we also have a Scenara as our travel/grandma seat. We've never installed it in the Santa Fe, but I'm sure it would go in with no trouble.
