Can someone give me a quick list of infant seats that can either be tethered or have a anti-rebound bar. If I ever have another baby I'd definately get a seat that can do this ~ I'm so glad I can tether my gaggle of Britax convertables RF'ing ~ I know it's still safer to be RF'ing in a untethered seat opposed to FF'ing but I sure feel much better with my DD in tethered RF'ing seats.

None of them tether, but the Britax Baby Safe has a bar.

The Tyro 2 from Combi has a tether, but whether we'll really ever see that seat on the market will be another story, lol. And the Fisher Price Stay in View was anti-rebound, if you can get one that's not expired.

Um, so, yeah, Debbie pretty much got it right: The Companion is basically it (but you know me, always full of esoteric knowledge I feel the need to share, rofl!)

I thought the Chicco Keyfit base is supposed to be anti-rebound in some way. Is that right?

It's really 'anti rebound' shaped, and I can't for the life of me (ha, as if I were as powerful as a crash?) get it to rotate backwards when the seat is in it, but I can't seem to get a firm confirmation out of Chicco that it is, in fact, anti-rebound. :(

When the new Fisher Price seats come out, their infant seat will be anti rebound. It will have the same base and shell as the companion.

From my experience with the Combi Tyro infants seat -- we have been using the Tyro 2 seat for 8 months -- the seat has minor improvements to make it easier to take out of its base.

The base itself has the tether and can be used with the original Tyro seat as well. The tether allows the base to be very taut when connected to a front seat.

However, We have seen this seat (Tyro 2) only in a travel system originally sold at Target(where we got it), and more recently at the Right Start as well as smaller regional stores. I think Combi now is really pushing their Connection seat, so it's unlikely to introduce it alone.

Oh wow, an actual Tyro 2 owner :D.

I have a friend who LOVES her original Tyro, but despises the base and I'm sure she'll be happy to know her seat will work with the 2 base.

So I just went to the Combi site and lo and behold, they are now showing not only the travel system we bought (Tyro II in Thunder), but the Tyro II car seat alone as well. So I guess they are going to continue to support both the Connection and Tyro II.

They even have a new third infant seat/base called the Centre which looks a little like the Connection, but with a different base now with anti-rebound -- plus it has harness straps you don't have to rethread! Wow!

I couldn't find information separately on just the newer Tyro base w/tether, but I do remember that in a previous incarnation of the Combi website, they said it worked with Tyro and Tyro II car seats. I'm sure their customer service could confirm.
