Okay, here's the situation. Up until now we've had DD in the sit n' stroll since we live in NYC and use cabs more than cars and are most often walking or on public transportation. But now with #2 on the way we are most likely going to move out of the city and will be getting a car.

DD is currently 14 months old, 27 lbs. and 32 inches. She's always been in the 95th percentile for weight and 100th for height.

So my quesiton is what car seat do I buy? I have a Graco Snugride for the new baby but what about after that? Do I get a Britax RA for DD now with the intentions of moving DC #2 into it or do I just get 2 MAs?

And are Britax car seats the best option or are there seats out there that are just as good? I am so confused and overwhelmed with the choices. Please help! TIA

Oh it would also be nice if the car seat was easy to install. Since before we get a car i would be installing it in various rental cars.

I love my RA, but a lot of Moms complain that their DC's outgrow the height on them rahter quickly so that is probably not a good option for you. I would get a Decathalon; it's just as easy to use as a RA, but has higher weight and height limits of the MA. Another plus is that in a pinch you can use the GoGo Kidz wheels to make it into a setup like the sit n stroll that you are used to.

I use this for travel and love it, makes life so easy in the airport!

Thanks for the quick reply. So you think 2 Decathalons are the way to go, after #2 outgrows infant seat?

2 Decathalons does sound like a good plan, but buy one for your daughter now and wait until DC #2 is almost ready.

Most seats expire 6 years after their manufacture date, so in order to get the most from them wait until they are almost ready to move into them.
